We highly recommend you to update your existing Beta setups to the final released version of the service pack. Once the service pack is applied, push out remote agents to Windows and non-Windows servers.
2. How to verify if the Backup Exec setup is running final release of service pack?
For Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP3: Open Backup Exec administration console, Click Help and About Backup Exec:
Administration Console: Version 13.0 Rev. 5204.1225 (32/64-bit)
For Backup Exec 2012 SP2: Open Backup Exec administration console, Click Help and Documentation -> About Backup Exec should display
Administration Console: Version 14.0 Rev. 1798.1244 (32/64-bit)
3. Reset registry for exchange incremental backup failure workaround:
If your exchange incremental backups were failing with Backup Exec 2012 SP2 Beta and if you have used the following workaround:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Backup Exec for Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\Exchange
Set the DWORD value called ‘UsePDIContainerFileForLogs’ to 0
Restart the BE services.
After applying the final release of the service pack, please set the registry value to 1.
